Nam June Paik Art Center, ‘a house where Nam June Paik lives on’ as christened by the artist himself, was opened in Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do in October 2008. With its mission is to develop and conduct creative and critical research on Paik’s ideals and artistic activities, NJP Art Center has presented a variety of exhibitions, programs and events; Nam June Paik exhibitions in which Paik’s works are on display year-round: special exhibitions on contemporary art: performances: Nam June Paik Art Center Prize: educational programs for the public and schools. NJP Art Center has also conducted research projects: collection, archives, symposium and publication. Nam June Paik Art Center Museum Archive covers the history of the NJP Art Center. It includes photographs, videos and documentations organically accumulated through the operation of NJP Art Center.
