Nam June Paik Art Center holds a listening session 1+1 as a program related to The Last Consummate Second – Symphony No. 2. We tour the exhibition The Last Consummate Second – Symphony No. 2 with a curator, and have a small listening session through an old gramophone and tape recorder that appears in Nam June Paik’s text score Symphony for 20 Rooms. Participants can enjoy the music by bringing their own gramophone stone records and tape albums that they have but have not heard. My cherished album resonates in the exhibition hall and becomes part of Nam June Paik’s symphony. This participation expands in the form of sharing and is experienced as our ‘Last Consummate Second’, not just one second alone. Even if you do not own stone records or tapes, anyone who is interested in it can participate. It will be a place to share their appreciation of the exhibition and Nam June Paik’s work as well as the listening sound.
