Curators will give a talk in conjunction with the exhibition Open Codes: Networked Commons. Kim Yoonseo will explore the possibilities of networking commons, the theme of the Nam June Paik Art Center’s Open Codes, while Christian Lölkes and Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás from ZKM will talk about the journey of Open Codes in terms of making the museum as an active space in different parts of the world. This will be followed by a roundtable moderated by Youngjin Oh. This online event, organized by Nam June Paik Art Center together with the cooperation partner Goethe-Institut Korea, will take place for an hour from 2 p.m. on Thursday, July 1, 2021.

Kim Yoonseo
Kim Yoonseo has curated exhibitions The Future of Silence (2020), Moving and Migration (2019), and symposiums Living in the Postdigital, Reliving the Museum (2020), Media Ecology (2019). She is interested in digital culture policies and the ethical and performative practices of the museum as public resources.

Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás
Lívia Nolasco-Rózsás has curated exhibitions at institutions of contemporary and media art worldwide since 2006, including at the ZKM | Center for Art and Media (Karlsruhe), Chronus Art Center (Shanghai), Ludwig Museum (Budapest) focusing on the genealogy and social impact of planetary computation and computer code, electronic surveillance and democracy, and synesthetic perception. Currently she is acting head of the international collaboration project entitled BEYOND MATTER at ZKM | Karlsruhe.

Christian Lölkes
Christian Lölkes studied electrical engineering and information technology at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and works at ZKM | Karlsruhe in artistic production and research at the Hertz-Lab. He has been involved in the educational and exhibitory experiment Open Codes as a scientific consultant, artist, and curator. He is an active member of Entropia e. V. – Chaos Computer Club Karlsruhe and engages with the connection between code, society and art.

Oh Youngjin
Oh Youngjin is an adjunct professor of Korean Language and Literature at ERICA Campus, Hanyang University. He teaches on technological criticism and techno-feminism. His research interest lies in technology culture and subculture of Korea. He co-published The Wind Coming from the Paeng-Mok Port (2015), Mario Born 1981(2017), and The Chronicles of Korean Technology (2017).
