Nam June Paik Art Center participates in the 16th DMZ International Documentary Film Festival's screening program 'DMZ Docs PLUS+', which is designed to expand the screening space of the DMZ International Documentary Film Festival from Goyang to all of Gyeonggi Province and collaborate with theaters and art departments in Suwon, Paju, Yongin, Ansan, and other cities, with the aim of spreading the festival experience and expanding access to cultural and artistic enjoyment.
Nam June Paik Art Center presents exergue - on documenta 14, a 14-hour documentary that explores the planning and execution of Documenta 14 in Kassel and the art, institutions, and practices surrounding it. The Kassel Documenta is a big event in the art world, and one that Nam June Paik was involved in. On June 24, 1977, Paik participated in a satellite performance at the opening of the 6th Kassel Documenta, along with Joseph Beuys and Charlotte Moorman. exergue - on documenta 14 focuses on the passions of the key figures involved in what has been considered one of the most high-profile art world events since 1955 for more than 60 years, and captures their deep reflections on the role of contemporary art. The film consists of 14 chapters and will be screened over three days from Friday through Sunday, divided into Chapters 1 to 4, 5 to 10, and 11 to 14.
