Three flags are drawn with a black oil stick. Untitled can be associated with Nam June Paik’s 1968 writing, where he quoted part of a famous phrase from the Blue Cliff Record. Two monks are quarreling over a flying mast. One says, “The wind is fluttering the flag.” The other says, “The flag is fluttering the wind.” Another monk, who was passing by, yells, “Your mind is fluttering.” While this text is about one flag and three different views, the three flags drawn in restrained lines may be a good illustration of the Buddhist message.
