On November 11th, 1962, at Die Lupe, Cologne, Dick Higgins’ Fluxus event The Broadway Opera took place under the proposal of George Maciunas and the organization of Mary Bauermeister. The picture shows the performance of Canzona No. 24 (1958) by Higgins. This score consists of carefully putting on and taking off the left and right gloves. On the invitation to this performance is a photograph of Higgins in front of the cinema, which was part of a mail art project related to Dé-coll/age. The second issue of the publication released in November 1962 included the scores of Canzona No. 24 and Twenty-Seven Episodes for the Aquarian Theater to the Recognition of Antonin Artaud (1959) and among others.
