Whenever artistic ideas came to mind, Nam June Paik whimsically scribbled them out, unhesitatingly on whatever was available at the moment, on the margins of book pages or restaurant’s napkins. Yet he would also build ideas cumulatively in a notebook. This drawing book was donated by Shuya Abe, Paik’s technical collaborator. Many pages of the book display memos related to computer programs and the usage of VTRs, along with simple drawings of televisions and human faces.
